By using Tab (the "Service") — including the Telegram bot, web dashboard, or any related API — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Tab is a personal expense tracking tool. It reads bank notification emails from your Gmail account, parses transaction details, and helps you categorise and review your spending via Telegram and a web dashboard.
Tab is currently in early access. Features, pricing, and availability may change at any time.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Tab. Tab connects to financial information and forms a binding agreement, so it is not intended for minors. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google and Telegram accounts. Tab accesses your Gmail solely to read bank notification emails. You should not grant Tab access if you do not understand or consent to this.
You can revoke Tab's access at any time via Google Account Permissions or from the Settings page.
You agree not to:
Tab relies on third-party services — including Google (Gmail and Sheets), Telegram, Supabase, Railway, and Groq — each governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or acts of these providers, and your use of them through Tab is at your own risk.
Your use of Tab is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Transaction data is written to a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive. You own that data. We do not claim any rights over it.
Tab is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, that every transaction will be captured, or the accuracy of parsed transaction data — some emails are parsed by automated AI, which can make mistakes. Bank email formats change without notice; parsed figures should always be verified against your official bank statements.
Tab is not a licensed financial advisor, bank, or payment service provider, and nothing it shows is financial advice. It is a personal productivity tool.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any errors in parsed transaction amounts, missed transactions, or any incorrectly recorded or settled bill split. Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or SGD 50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of Singapore (such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tab and its operators from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your sharing of another person's information with us without authorisation.
We may suspend or terminate access to Tab at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may stop using Tab and disconnect your account at any time from Settings.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. You and we will first try to resolve any dispute informally; failing that, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Service. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
